Rapid Re-Housing

Rapid Re-Housing

Rapid re-housing supports families and individuals experiencing homelessness in order to secure permanent housing. Families and individuals work with a case manager to reduce the amount of time a person or family is homeless through a tailored package of assistance, which can include:

  • Housing relocation and stabilization services
  • Financial assistance towards permanent housing, such as:
    • Rent application fees
    • Security deposits
    • Utility deposits and past utility payments
    • Moving costs, like renting a moving truck
    • Short- and medium-term rental assistance

ICCF Community Homes partners with Community Housing Connect and the City of Wyoming to provide case management services for rapid re-housing. All referrals for our rapid re-housing program must come through the Community Housing Connect system (follow the steps below).

Rapid re-housing programs help solve the practical and immediate challenges to obtaining permanent housing and link community resources to achieve housing stability in the long-term. A fundamental goal of rapid re-housing is to reduce the amount of time a person is homeless. Rapid re-housing is an important component of a community’s response to homelessness.
