Violence Against Women Act
The Violence against Women Act (VAWA) is a federal law that protects applicants and tenants of ICCF’s federal housing programs (LIHTC, HOME, etc.) VAWA provides housing protections for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault or stalking. VAWA can be applied to any victim of violence/abuse, regardless of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, sex, or marital status.
