ICCF Community Homes’ first Homes & Hope Legacy Luncheon was held Thursday, May 12, 2022, in the Commons courtyard at ICCF’s new facility at 415 Martin Luther King Jr. St. SE.

As the photos illustrate, the glass-ceilinged room was awash with sunshine and joy as sixty-six guests enjoyed a delightful catered meal and listened to an invocation by Pastor Joy Bonnema from Madison Church, featured remarks offered by Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss and ICCF President & CEO Ryan VerWys, and closing thoughts from Hank Kroondyk, ICCF Planned Giving Specialist.

After the program, guests participated in a tour of this restored building, once the home of Grand Rapids Christian High School, now the location for ICCF offices together with Madison Church: Franklin Campus, the YMCA Jacquline Baber-Bey Early Childhood Center with a capacity for 70 children ages infant to five, and 41 resident households living in affordable ICCF apartments on the second and third floors.

The Homes & Hope Legacy Luncheon is an annual opportunity to express ICCF’s gratitude to faithful donors who have included a legacy contribution to ICCF in their estate plans. It also serves as an encouragement for other devoted ICCF donors who are considering a similar commitment to the long-range vision of ICCF Community Homes.
