Affordable Rentals

ICCF owns and manages about 600 affordable rental units scattered throughout the city of Grand Rapids. ICCF rental units serve a variety of income levels and family sizes with opportunities ranging from studio to 4-bedroom units.

ICCF holds waiting lists for affordable rental units at our various properties. All waiting lists are currently closed.

Our Steepleview Apartments, Stockbridge Apartments, and 415 Franklin Apartments have income-based units available through the Grand Rapids Housing Commission’s waiting list. To learn more and apply for this waiting list, please visit their website at grhc.apply4housing.com.

ICCF & ENERGY EFFICIENCY

God has called us to care for his people and his creation.

ICCF builds homes that inspire resident confidence and pride while also being environmentally friendly. All new multi-family developments seek Silver Level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. Recent examples of our LEED Certified developments include 435 LaGrave (Gold level), Steepleview Apartments (previously 501 Eastern – seeking Gold level), and Stockbridge (seeking Gold level). All of these developments used the following tactics to make sure they were both constructed sustainably and remain sustainable for residents:

• Low flow toilets and lavatory faucets, ENERGY STAR appliances, and high efficiency HVAC system to save on resources and utility bills
• Energy-recovery ventilator (ERV) to keep fresh air in the building while reducing utility costs
• Better furnace filters to improve residents’ health
• Low VOC paint to improve residents’ health
• Drought-tolerant grasses and plants
• Construction waste process that diverted recyclable materials from the landfill.

All of ICCF’s homes and housing developments are designed to be beautiful and to blend harmoniously with surrounding structures. This is why ICCF continues to build a variety of housing types; from mixed use, multi-story apartment buildings that become the home of many to duplexes scattered between single family homes. Offering a variety of housing choices allows ICCF to meet the needs of our neighbors while respecting the traditions and looks of Grand Rapids’ unique neighborhoods.
